From 14th of February to 22nd of March 2026, the Bauska Museum will host the watercolour exhibition by Lithuanian artist Voldemaras Barakauskas titled “Jazz in Watercolour. Water, Pigment and Time”.
The exhibition opening and a meeting with the artist will take place on 14 February at 13:00. During the opening event, a musical performance will be given by Airina Litvinskaite, a 4th-grade student of Žeimė Primary School, and Daiva Gasenienė, music pedagogue (Lithuania).
Admission to the exhibition is free on the opening day.
The opening of Voldemaras Barakauskas’ exhibition marks an important date — 16 February, the anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Lithuania. The exhibition is a sign of respect and friendship towards our Lithuanian neighbours and is presented by the museum as a symbolic gift for Lithuania’s national holiday to the Lithuanian community living in Bauska and its surroundings, as well as to Latvians with Lithuanian roots, inviting everyone to attend this event.
