“O SOLE MIO: Latvian Popular Classics and the Charm of Naples”
On 10th of May at 13:00, the Bārbele Community Center invites you to a special musical journey with tenor Juris Vizbulis in the concert programme “O SOLE MIO: Latvian Popular Classics and the Charm of Naples.”
This will be a warm, emotional, and sun-filled concert where the passion of Italian opera meets the golden melodies of Latvian popular music.
Programme includes:
- Neapolitan songs
- World-famous compositions such as O Sole Mio, Torna a Surriento, and Funiculì, Funiculà
- Songs that reveal the Italian timbre, passion, and unique charm of the tenor voice
- Beloved melodies from composers such as Raimonds Pauls, presented in the expressive sound of a classical tenor, giving them a new and emotionally rich interpretation
In this programme, the warmth of the Mediterranean sun intertwines with Latvian lyricism, creating a special musical bridge between southern temperament and our own musical aesthetics.
