On 18th of May 2026, museums around the world will celebrate International Museum Day under the theme “Museums Unite a Divided World”. This theme highlights the ability of museums to serve as bridges between different cultures, generations, and communities, promoting dialogue, understanding, inclusion, and peace. International Museum Day has been celebrated since 1977.
Celebrate International Museum Day in Bauska Municipality:
- Rundāle Palace Museum offers free admission to the French Garden (opening hours 10:00–18:00).
- Bauska Castle Museum offers free museum admission (opening hours 9:00–19:00).
The fortress ruins and observation tower are available according to the museum price list.
