30. May, 2026

from 11:00 till 15:00 Free of charge

On May 30, the second Latvian Winemakers’ Festival in Zemgale will take place in the honor courtyard of Rundāle Palace. Continuing last year’s newly established tradition, from 11:00 to 15:00 the event will bring together leading winemakers from all over Latvia in one place, inviting visitors to discover the diversity of local flavors in the unique atmosphere of the palace.

The first Winemakers’ Festival last year demonstrated strong interest in domestic winemaking culture, gathering more than 10 leading wineries. This year, the festival returns with the aim of further strengthening the position of Bauska Municipality and the whole Zemgale region as an attractive and high-quality gastronomic tourism destination.

Visitors will have the opportunity to:

Discover Latvian winemaking traditions: from classic grape wines to fruit and berry creations presented by the winemakers themselves;

Learn from industry experts: sommeliers Jānis Kaļķis and Agnese Gintere will lead masterclasses, revealing the nuances of food and drink pairing;

Enjoy a festive atmosphere: musical accompaniment in the courtyard of Rundāle Palace will be provided by artist Žoržs Siksna;

Taste local products: alongside winemakers, producers from Bauska and neighboring regions will offer cheeses, snacks, and other delicacies.

“The first festival showed that the environment of Rundāle Palace is perfectly suited to highlight the craftsmanship of our winemakers. This is a great opportunity to get to know Latvian producers and their products while enjoying the outstanding Baroque pearl and its blooming gardens. We are pleased that this event is becoming a tradition that combines cultural heritage with modern Latvian flavors,” says Ričards Ivanovs, Chairman of the Board of the Latvian Winemakers’ Association.

Entry is free of charge. Visitors will be able to purchase wines offered by Latvian winemakers. Food services will be available for an additional fee, payable directly to the respective vendors.

The event is organized by the Latvian Winemakers’ Association in cooperation with the Bauska Municipality Business and Competence Development Center.
