From June 13 to August 9, 2026, the Bauska Museum will host the exhibition “KOPĀ BŪT,” dedicated to the long-standing collaboration between the folk applied arts studios “Bauska,” “Latgale,” and “Klūga.”

The exhibition will feature a diverse selection of folk applied and contemporary artworks—textiles, ceramics, and woven items—created in recent years. The works reflect inspiration drawn from nature, its colors and forms, as well as an interest in cultural and historical heritage.
The participants in the program incorporate traditional craft techniques into their work, while interpreting them in a contemporary way and creating objects that are both aesthetically pleasing and practical.
The collaborative project began in 2020 and has continued over the years with several joint exhibitions in Latvia and Lithuania. The exhibition “BEING TOGETHER” tells a story of creative collaboration, mutual inspiration, and a desire to preserve and develop traditional craft skills. The studio participants use traditional craft skills in their work, while interpreting them in a contemporary way and creating objects that are both aesthetically pleasing and practical.
It demonstrates that cultural heritage is a living process in which ancient traditions coexist successfully with contemporary artistic visions.
During the event, visitors may be photographed and/or filmed, and the photographs and video footage may be published.
The exhibition is open during the Bauska Museum's regular hours and can be viewed with a museum admission ticket.
