13. June, 2026

from 11:00 till 13:00 Free

On June 13, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the "Bauska" Folk Applied Arts Studio
invites everyone interested in knitting to the World Public Knitting Day event.

Let’s meet in the exhibition hall of the Bauska Museum, where we’ll knit together, gather new ideas, and spend
a pleasant time among like-minded people.

Please bring along any knitting projects you’ve started.

World Public Knitting Day has been celebrated in many places around the world since 2005, bringing together
knitting enthusiasts in public spaces. The Bauska Handicrafts Club also invites you to join this tradition and
help promote knitting skills.

Come knit with us — get inspired, share your experiences, and meet other knitting enthusiasts!

The aim of the event is to promote the preservation of knitting traditions, to popularize handicrafts as a creative and
meaningful way to spend free time, and to encourage the exchange of experiences and skills.

During the event, visitors may be photographed and/or filmed, and the photographs and video footage
may be published.
