On June 20, you are invited to celebrate the annual Garden Festival in the French garden of Rundāle Palace, which this year is dedicated to the theme “All the Flowers Have Bloomed!”. The festival highlights the diversity of flowers and the fullness of nature during the summer solstice.
Throughout the day, the program will be enriched by the “Solstice Alley,” where folklore groups and keepers of Latvian traditions will create the magical atmosphere of the shortest night of the year with songs, rituals, and wreath-making. Younger visitors will enjoy a carousel in the central garden square and удивительные performances by illusionist Edžus in the Green Theatre. More adventurous guests are invited to take part in an orienteering game.
As every year, the garden alleys will host a market with plants, crafts, and local homemade products, while a new addition this year will be the Bauska region tourism alley.
The event will conclude with a spectacular concert performance “Rise, Sun!” by Raimonds Tiguls at the palace fountain.
