Kanepene Festival in Skaistkalne – Three Days of Summer Celebrations, Traditions and Fun!
From 31 July to 2 August, Skaistkalne invites everyone to celebrate the Kanepene Festival, where visitors of all ages will find something to enjoy – from concerts and sporting activities to a vintage car parade, theatre performance and the traditional Kanepene Fair.
The festivities begin on Friday with the White Concert, while Saturday offers sports activities, a foam party, a vintage car parade, an amateur theatre performance, and an evening open-air dance with the band "Bitīt' Matos".
On Sunday, 2 August, from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the Kanepene Fair will take place at the Skaistkalne Sports Ground, featuring homemade delicacies, handcrafted goods, plants, handicrafts and many other local products. Throughout the day, visitors can also enjoy an art exhibition and market, inflatable attractions and a foam pool for children, while the festival concludes with the concert "Gathering of Godfathers and Godsons" at the open-air stage.
