5. August, 2026

from 12:00 till 14:00 5.00 €

On August 5, from 12:00 to 14:00, we invite seniors to another gathering at the Rundāle Palace Museum—this time focusing on the theme of the garden.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore the history, layout, and distinctive features of the French garden alongside Zane Sporāne, the manager of historical garden development at the Rundāle Palace Museum.

The French garden at Rundāle Palace is the most significant historical garden in the Baltic region. Preserving architect Francesco Rastrelli’s original vision, the garden has been restored to feature all the elements characteristic of a Baroque garden: an ornamental parterre, a fountain, pools, boskets, a Green Theatre, arbour walkways, and pavilions. The grounds also include a rose garden showcasing over 2,200 historical and modern rose varieties.

Following the garden walk, participants are invited to a coffee break in the Palace’s Hearth Hall to catch their breath, share their impressions, and take part in a flower-themed activity prepared by Kintija Dūriņa, the curator of educational programs.

Ticket price: €5.00 (includes the event participation fee and admission to the French garden). Please register in advance by emailing kintija.durina@rpm.gov.lv or by calling +371 25654549 during business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).

Space is limited!

Photographs will be taken during the event for publicity purposes. If you object to being photographed, please inform the event organizer.

You can travel from the Riga Bus Station to Rundāle Palace via a direct bus service.
