Interactive lecture and workshop: ‘Freedom of Form: Imants Murovskis and Playing with Modernism’
The Bauska Museum and Inga Bunkše, curator of the exhibition “To Forget and to Remember”, invite you to an interactive lecture and workshop entitled “Freedom of Form: Imants Murovskis and Playing with Modernism”, in which we will explore one of Latvia’s most outstanding post-war modernist sculptors, Imants Murovskis, and the links between his work and the ideas of European modernism.
However, the aim of the workshop is to experience the artistic process through creative participation.
We particularly welcome those who feel they ‘don’t understand art at all’ but would like to.
The session will be led by the exhibition’s curator, art historian Inga Bunkše, whose approach is based on the interplay between art and the development of human thought.
